The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand (SEC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 20 January 2021 concerning the Mutual Recognition of Covered Funds and Covered Management Companies and related cooperation.
This MoU strengthens financial market growth and increase cross-border activity in asset management, the offering and the distribution of collective investment schemes or mutual cross-border basis: CIS domiciled in either Hong Kong or Thailand and offered to the public in Thailand and/or Hong Kong and management companies of CIS, based in Hong Kong or Thailand as well.
